The University of Aveiro and CIPES were partners in the consortium of the Higher Education European Masters (HEEM), one of the first programs to receive the Erasmus Mundus European Masters label from the European Union in 2004. This program emphasized the roles, policies, and operations of higher education. CIPES has also been a longstanding partner of the MARIHE program, hosting students for internships since its inception.
