MARIHE is the only Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programme dedicated to developing skilled managers, analysts, researchers and policy makers who will transform higher education worldwide.

Why MARIHE?

MARIHE is a unique global Master program on higher education, research and innovation. It is a 2-year full time study journey in Europe and Asia – a truly international experience. It offers tuition fee scholarships for all students; Erasmus Mundus scholarships on top are available.

MARIHE is jointly conducted by an international consortium with partners from Austria, China, Finland, Germany, Hungary, India, and Portugal, thus providing a global perspective on higher education, research and innovation.

We want you!

  • First university degree (3 years in duration) from any discipline
  • Highly motivated and ambitious about higher education

Your participation in MARIHE

MARIHE offers tuition fee scholarships for all selected students. In addition, a limited number of Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available.

Tuition fee scholarship

  • Participation costs are covered
  • Includes a health and accident insurance
  • Erasmus+ Student Mobility funding might be available
  • Additional scholarship option for students from deprived backgrounds and/or first-in-family students (awarded by the consortium; for two selected students per intake)

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

  • Participation costs are covered
  • EUR 1,400 monthly allowance as a contribution to travel, visa, installation, and subsistence costs
  • Includes a health and accident insurance

After MARIHE: Career Outcomes

The MARIHE programme sets the foundation for career success through international expertise, academic excellence, and practical experience that enables meaningful contributions to the field of higher education. Possible employment fields are: higher education and research-intensive institutions, government agencies, university alliances, non-tertiary education institutions, consultancy, start-ups.

The programme includes a mandatory internship, providing direct working experience in higher education institutions, government agencies, or international organizations.
